BILLIARD/SNOOKER ROOM

In 1986, with the influx of snooker mania, because of Steve Davies, Jimmy White and the lot, the single billiard table was found to be heavily utilized especially after office hours, weekends and holidays. Enthusiasts have to wait for hours for their turn. The restricted bookings with priority to members had failed to please. The Management Committee had to crack their heads for yet another extension. Works begun in early 1987 and the room was handed over to the Club in October 1987. Total cost, together with the new billiard table, air conditioning and accessories was RM40,000. In September 1994 the two ceiling air conditioners were replaced with 2 window units.

Of late, members lost interest in snooker and this area was underutilized. In August 2000, the Management decided to relocate the billiard table and tendered off one billiard table.
